For most families, the holidays can be stressful and busy. But, they are also a very special time, full of nostalgia and cherished memories. With the weather starting to cool, the holidays will be here before you know it! While most family portraits feature smiling, joyous faces we wanted to show off the fun that happens in the images that don’t make the cut to be official holiday portraits.

Last month we had the pleasure of photographing our owner Jodi Lynn’s family. Some of our favorite moments happen when we photograph Jodi Lynn (check out her surprise engagement during a photo session here!) and with this session came a fantastic series of outtakes! As family portrait photographers we understand the desire to have a portrait of your family, and of yourself, to display that shows a calm and peaceful reflection of you and your family at your best. We also love these raw emotional moments too, these are the moments that complete the story. Moments that collectively give a full accounting of who we all are.
