JODI LYNN’S SWEET MATERNITY PORTRAITS

This week, Photography by Jodi Lynn is so excited to share the maternity session of our owner, Jodi Lynn and her man! The whole team had an amazing time at this beautiful location for their outdoor maternity photography session. We also have a fun surprise for you! Not only is she the star of this week’s images, but Ms. Jodi Lynn has taken over the blog this week to share her perspective and joys throughout her pregnancy. We are all so thrilled for this next stage in her life, and can’t wait to meet her little girl!

JODI LYNN’S MATERNITY UPDATE

Hello, everyone! How exciting that I am now approaching 31 weeks, eek, it’s going by so fast I can hardly believe it! We’ve been having so much fun using The Bump app to track her progress and growth, and right now she is just about the size of a pineapple at 15.2-16.7 inches, and 2.5-3.8 pounds. We are just about two months away, but cannot wait until we finally are able to hold our little girl in our arms. 

As soon as we found out we were having a girl, we had a name picked out; little miss Adelynn Rose. My middle name is Lynn, so we adjusted the spelling to match! We love that some of the more “old-fashioned” names are starting to come back around! My grandparents are also very special to me, and whenever I see pink roses I think of all the beautiful roses they have growing around their home.

We are moving into our new home one month before little Addie’s scheduled arrival, and can’t wait to decorate her room.Since her middle name is Rose, we are using pale pinks with accents of ivory and grey to bring some soft colors to her room. Very Shabby Chic meets French Farmhouse, we are even getting crafty and refurnishing some older antique pieces to make her changing table! The girls in the studio also scoped out my Pinterest board and crafted a floral “A” monogram to hang in her room, so sweet!

I wish people would have told me how tired you get carrying a baby around all day! Whew, this little girl is wearing me out! I’ve been a go-getter my whole life, so it’s difficult for me to slow down when my to-do list keeps growing. However, I’ve realized the importance of slowing down and resting for Addie’s sake, it’s what’s best and I would do anything for her!

It’s crazy to think that she will be here before we know it and growing into her own person. Like all parents, we want the best for our Adelynn, and for her to have even more opportunities than we did. I’m so lucky to have my love by my side as a partner in this parenting adventure, and we are so excited to see what the future holds for our little family!
